Use banner templates if you want to make some minor changes to your banners or even major changes. Banner templates can make your life much easier when you start making your own banners for your internet websites.
You do know that you can make you own banner templates don’t you? It’s easy to do and you can do it with pretty much any graphics program out there. For myself I use Paint Shop Pro and find that it works very well for my purposes.
If you want to create a pattern for your banners I’ll explain to you how to do that quickly and easily. The first thing you need to do is make your templates.
Before you start making your banner templates you need to decide what banner sizes you are going to use on your site, what colors you are going to use on the banner ads you create, are you going to have animated banners or static and what fonts and sizes of text are you going to use. Now that may seem like a lot but it’s the basics for templates.
Open your graphics program and create the sizes you want to use. For myself I use the 468X60, 300×250 and the 768×90 wide banner for the tops of my sites. I would then create blank files in those sizes and save them.
Now comes the part that makes templates work. I know what colors I want to use for backgrounds and text so I’ll get the background colors in each of the files I’m using as banner templates. The text can wait until last unless I’m going to use the same phrase a lot. Then I’ll position that phrase in the banner.
If you are going to use pictures or graphics in your banners now is the time to add them to your templates. A smiling girl will work well and make your banner ads more attractive and give you a higher click thru rate(CTR) and that’s what you want.
Now you have your sizes, your backgrounds and your graphics in your templates. Save them all and keep them separate so when you need one you can just open it and modify it the way you want. Don’t try to make a banner and then when you need another close to it, try removing the stuff you don’t want and adding the stuff you do want. That can be very time consuming and that’s why it’s not okay to mess up your banner templates by saving them as the files you want to use on your sites.
Now you are ready to add the text or whatever else you want to your files so begin by opening one of your banner templates and inserting the text or graphics.
When you are happy with the way everything looks Save the file as a new name or you will over write your template file and your hard work will have been wasted.
You now have your templates and can modify and save them as the files you are going to use for banner ads on your websites. Should you need another banner with some modifications in the future just open one of your banner templates and put your changes in.
